Director of Paid Media — Boutique DTC Growth Agency

A creative-led performance marketing agency working with standout DTC and eCommerce brands is looking for a Director of Paid Media to step into a true player-coach seat.

This is a hybrid role: you’ll personally run a curated book of strategic accounts while raising the bar for an entire paid media team. You’re still hands-in-platform on the accounts and moments that matter most, but you’re also the person managers and strategists look to for direction, standards, and support.

Responsibilities:

• Own strategy, planning, and optimization for a select group of high-value DTC/eCommerce accounts across Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, and beyond

• Coach and lead a team of paid media managers, setting the bar for execution quality and client communication

• Build and enforce standards around onboarding, pacing, reporting, and account health

• Serve as the first line of defense on delivery issues, stepping in before things escalate

• Partner tightly with creative and influencer teams to connect media strategy with content and testing

• Support new business through audits, forecasting, and pitch strategy

• Spot skill gaps and drive training across the team

Requirements:

• 7+ years in paid media, ideally agency-side, with real experience managing people and multiple accounts

• Deep, hands-on DTC/eCommerce performance expertise is essential — this agency lives and breathes direct-to-consumer brands

• Strong command of Meta

• A track record of owning senior client relationships, not just running the media

• The judgment to balance brand-building instincts with performance rigor

• Comfort operating in ambiguity while creating structure for others
