Digital Analytics Specialist
Job Details
This is a remote position, but you must reside in North Carolina, Florida, Oklahoma, Michigan, or Virginia – no other states can be considered at this time.
Digital Analytics Specialist
A growing digital marketing agency is hiring a Digital Analytics Specialist to join its Analytics & AI team. This is a hands-on, technical role focused on building and maintaining the measurement infrastructure behind client marketing programs. You will report to the Director of Digital Analytics and work closely with strategists across SEO, Paid Media, and Content.
This is not a back-office reporting job. Everyone on the team is client-facing, and you will be in the room (or on the call) presenting your work directly.
There is a clear growth path, with the opportunity to advance to a Senior level in less than a year for someone who hits their milestones.
What you’ll do
You’ll own the technical side of analytics implementation, not just pull reports.
Day to day, that means:
-
Setting up and configuring GA4 properties, designing event and property structures, and making sure tracking maps cleanly to each client’s business goals.
-
Building and maintaining GTM containers, implementing tagging strategy, and auditing setups to confirm pixels and events fire correctly.
-
Integrating analytics with CRM and marketing platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and connecting third-party tools and data sources.
-
Pulling data out of GA4 to analyze performance, and pushing data in or working with more advanced integrations where needed.
-
Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting dashboards, primarily in Looker Studio.
-
Running ongoing QA across analytics setups to keep data accurate and reliable.
-
Conducting website and funnel analysis to surface UX issues, conversion gaps, and opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness.
-
Presenting findings and recommendations directly to clients, fielding in-depth technical questions live, and participating in broader account team discussions. The client strategist owns the relationship and runs the meeting; you bring the analytics expertise.
-
Supporting internal documentation and helping standardize analytics processes across the team.
-
Evaluating and deploying new AI and automation tools for reporting and analysis, and staying current through ongoing training.
-
Helping identify opportunities to expand and improve client work, and supporting the materials needed to do so.
Requirements:
-
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Google Analytics (GA4 required) and Google Tag Manager, including tagging, event tracking, and audits
-
A demonstrated history of both pulling data from GA4 for analysis and pushing data in or handling more advanced integrations
-
Experience with complex, multi-site, or multi-channel setups is strongly preferred
-
Strong data visualization skills, particularly in Looker Studio
-
Solid grasp of website analysis methodology and digital marketing fundamentals
-
Genuine interest in AI and automation as applied to analytics
-
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the confidence to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
-
Detail-oriented, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving instincts
-
Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Agency experience preferred
Preferred Experience:
-
Experience in highly regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, or healthcare, including familiarity with PII concerns, data masking and anonymization, and third-party approaches to maintaining data privacy and compliance
-
Experience or coursework in SQL or Python
-
Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) or other marketing automation tools
-
Exposure to predictive modeling, attribution modeling, or AI-supported analytics
